ALBUM RANI STETIE

Spanning four decades of recordings, sketches, melodies, experiments, and late-night ideas, YA SALAM is a free-spirited compilation from Rani Stetie shaped through memories, humor, nostalgia, and creative instinct. Blending Arabic, French, and English influences, the album moves between satire, parody, nightlife moods, emotion, and spontaneous storytelling without following a single musical formula.

Built from restored demos, collaborations, and archival recordings accumulated across the years, the project reflects Rani’s personal approach to melody, arrangement, and multilingual songwriting, particularly through Lebanese Arabic expression and vocal experimentation.

Created as both an escape and a celebration of creative freedom, YA SALAM embraces imperfection, atmosphere, and personality over convention. Beneath its playful spirit lies a deep respect for composition, sound, and musical craftsmanship. A mood. A memory. A collection of moments. RELEASE DATE 2027

CD AUDIO SONGS.png

Many years ago, Zena Jisr handed a notebook of children's lyrics to Rani Stetie. Inspired by the stories and characters, Rani composed music and together they recorded a collection of songs.

Life eventually took the two collaborators to different countries, but the songs remained. Today, these songs have been revisited and reunited with The Isle of Small Songs.

We invite you to share them with your children, sing along, and enjoy a little synth-pop adventure together.

The songs are available separately from this book on major streaming platforms and are not included with the purchase of this book.

Enjoy the music, and don't forget to explore the adventures of The Isle of Small Songs, recommended for ages 6 and up.

Rooted in traditional songwriting yet open to diverse influences and multilingual expression, the album reflects the enduring power of creativity across time and borders.

COUNTRY BROAD RANI STETIE

Country Broad 1989-2025  is a collection of my original compositions written across the years, gathered into one record and infused with a taste of country music. It’s made for listeners who value the heart, storytelling, and emotional honesty that have always defined the genre. These songs reflect time, experience, and simple truths, told without pretense.
While the arrangements carry a modern touch, the spirit remains rooted in tradition. Technology was used as a supporting tool in the arrangement and production, always in service of the songs themselves.

LES FOLIES DE VICTOR

Les Folies de Victor (Victor’s Diary) is a personal and emotional collection inspired by stories, travels, memories, encounters, and moments that shaped parts of Victor’s artistic universe. Serving as a spiritual follow-up to Something to Remember, the album moves through reflections of friendship, affection, adventure, and human connection, blending music with diary-like impressions and atmospheres.

Dedicated to those who touched his soul and left lasting memories, the project remains intentionally intimate and symbolic. Some may recognize themselves within these pages of sound, though names remain untold.

Dedicated to all those who treated me with kindness and love. Les Folies de Victor (Victor’s Diary) was released with two distinct cover editions: one used for digital platforms (left) and another created specifically for the CD printed edition (right). Both versions reflect different visual interpretations of the album’s intimate and diary-inspired atmosphere.

Sleepless Album

The foundations of Sleepless began taking shape in the mid-1990s, following the completion of Rani Stetie’s first demo project, Phase One. As ideas evolved and songs were revisited, the album slowly transformed into a more personal and experimental work. Encouraged to explore beyond pure electronic and dance-oriented production, Rani began incorporating guitar textures, darker atmospheres, cinematic moods, and layered arrangements into his music, while preserving his melodic roots. Approaching music first as an author, composer, and producer, Rani uses vocals as part of the emotional landscape of each piece, sometimes intimate, sometimes theatrical, always guided by atmosphere and storytelling. Developed through years of experimentation and independent production, Sleepless blends elements of pop, rock, electronic, ambient, and cinematic influences into a sound driven more by instinct and emotion than by genre conventions.

The album also reflects important collaborations from that creative period, including contributions and musical exchanges with Jean-Sébastien Robitaille and K. McKenna, both of whom helped shape parts of its sonic identity.

Rather than following a single direction, Sleepless moves through different emotional spaces, balancing energy, reflection, tension, and melody throughout its production and arrangements.

This edition of Sleepless represents another chapter in Rani Stetie’s evolving musical universe: a collection of sounds, moods, experiments, and creative freedom shaped through years of artistic exploration.

Rani Phase One Album

Although Rani had been composing music since 1987, 1990 marked the true beginning of Phase One. It was during this period that ideas began taking shape in the studio, laying the foundation for an important chapter in his musical journey. Phase One captures a time of experimentation, discovery, and long nights dedicated to learning arrangements, refining vocal work, and developing a personal sound. The album reflects the growth of an artist shaping his creative identity through constant exploration and studio work. This edition of Phase One has been retracked, mixed, and remastered by Rani, while preserving elements of the original recordings and sequencing that defined the spirit of the project. The original recordings were programmed alongside Keith McKenna, with whom Rani shared a passion for blending electronic production with classical influences. Together, they explored ambitious musical ideas that gave the album its distinctive character. During the production of Phase One, Rani worked between Keith’s Studio 8 Tracks and Studio Victor, balancing multiple recording sessions and creative projects. It was also during this period that he met Jean Sébastien Robitaille and Fernand Martel, while simultaneously developing the album Sleepless.

The original Phase One demos were first released in 1993, accompanied by the music video So Blue, offering one of the earliest public introductions to Rani’s artistic universe.
